Pleasant Call From Old Teacher.
Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Benbow, of Winamac, were here today attending the funeral of David Alter. While here Mr. Benbow called at the Republican office and visited with the editor. Mr. Benbow was a teacher in the public schools for thirty-four years and sixteen years of this service was spent in the schools of Jasper county. He was one of the very best teachers this county has ever had and left a most excellent impressino upon his pupils. For the past five years he has been living in Winamac, where he has a prosperous business and is enjoying the best of heatlh. Mr. Benbow was married eighteen years ago to Miss Lillie Troxell and they are now the happy parents of four children, the oldest fourteen and the youngest seven. Three of the children are boys and one is a girl. Mrs. Benbow will remain for a more extended visit with relatives here, but Mr. Benbow returned to his home this afternoon.
