J. Thompson Sharpe and wife and son, of Jacksonville, 111., motored through Rensselaer today on their way to their home, after a visit in Chicago. Mr. Beck recently sold his bakery at that place, which he has been operating and has enlisted in the Lily base hospital corps of Indianapolis, which, along with the rest of the national guard will be called into service next Sunday; Mr. Beck’s wife and daughter will remain at Lebanon until his return. .
