Fred Baier, of Carpenter township, was in Rensselaer today. They did not get a heavy rain there Monday. His report agrees with most others, which is to the effect that oats are fine but that corn is very late. George W. Stover, of north Union township, was here today. They had a very heavy rain Monday afternoon. He reports that the water is getting away quickly and that the crop outlook is first class.
