An efficient traffic department can save the Individual shipper hundreds, possibly thousands, of dollars each year. The traffic department of the present day-chamber of commerce acts as eyes and ears for every shipper. The maze of regulations,- tariffs and service conditions on railroads is so intricate that one man cannot keep up with aJI the changes.
