Wightman. * Floyd Griggs, of Lansing, 111., came Tuesday to register, and for a short visit with his father, Len Griggs. Trustee R. E. Kankakee township, says that it is an error in reporting that he voted for Ernest Lamson for county superintendent Monday. He was very friendly to Mr. Lamson and says that he offered to support him; but that' Lamson declined to be a candidate. Trustee Davis says that the people of Kankakee were well pleased with the service rendered by the present county school superintendent. Prof. J. Ira Coe left this morning for Chicago, where he will take up his new duties with Montgomery, Ward & Co. in wfliet is called the efficiency department. This is a most excellent position and carries with it a salary very much in advance of that he has been receiving as principal of the high school here. Prof. Coe is a young man of the very best character and of splendid ability. He has been connected with the school here for the past five years and has proven himself to be a thorough school man.
