Mrs. Isaac Kight visited with Joe Kight and wife, of Thayer, Sunday, Cecil Gund yand Orville Abell were both here the first of the week. (Milt McKay went over to Gary to work last week? Several of our young men have lar army. . Florence McKay went over into Jordan township Friday to attend the commencement exercises. The regular communion service was held at the M. E. church Sunday. Wm. Gourley took about a dozen of our Sunday school pupils over to the convention at Aix Sunday. - - The Memorial Day services here were quite well attended and the address by W. L. Wood was interesting. Grandma Cox waaLteck here as usual Wednesday to help decorate the graves of the dead. Sam Erwin, of DeMotte, is here at F. R. Erwin’s.' Several of our young men hive passed the examination and are now members of Company M.
