Mortality In March Was Was Unusually Large

According to March report of the State Board of Health, there were 4,016 deaths in the state that month as compared with 3,786 in February and 3,603 in the corresponding month of 1915. Births outnumbered deaths by 1,-49& —Tuberculosis and pneumonia again ravaged the state, there beinig4O3 deaths due to the former disease and 597 to the latter. 7,332 cases of measles were reported in the state during March. In Jasper county there were 20 deaths in March.
