Court Sends Farmers Home To Plaint Their Corn.
Monticello Herald, —• . The patriotism of the White circuit court, which has been demonstrated on numerous occasions, was again displayed this week when the members of the petit jury were told "by Judge Wason to go home and plant corn. This is the fourth week of the term and is usually the busiest week tor a jury. A number of jury cases had been set for trial during the week. Eleven of the twelve jurors indicated to the court that tiheir com hadn’t been planted and that they could put in the week much better on the farm than in the jury box. 'Rte judge did not hesitate in answering them. When he informed the attornews Monday morning that he had excused the jury he told them that if a jury was insisted upon he would have the sheriff pick up its members from this city.
