Cows That Bathe.

R is reported that almost every day on unusual scene may be witnessed on Loch Dulch, Rosshlre, New Brunswick, where a number of cows swim over to an island in the loch, about 200 yards from the mainland, feed there and return in the evening. They are never driven, but take their bath entirely of their own free will. If the wind is against them on their return journey, and the sea is rough, it sometimes Is necessary for a man“to put out in a boat and help them over In turn by holding out his hand under awich cow’s chin, since they become daaed if the sea dashes in their faces, and swim in circles Instead of going straight ahead.
