Husband Comes For Body Of Murdered Woman
More light wap thrown on Newton County murder when David Harkes arrived in Momence from Terre Haute. He is the husband of the murdered woman and only learned of the tragedy yesterday morning. He is a miner and says he was married to the woman three years ago. He showed the Press Reporter letters received from his wife, the last one written on the morning of the day she was killed. He learned of the affair through a woman inmate of one of the resorts along the state line. Acording to Mr. Harkes he supposed his wife was working for a fanner, and her leters to him stated that she was doing well and saving her money. He left this morning for Indiana and will take steps to have the remains taken to his home city for burial. He is heartbroken over the affair.
