The commissioners of Jasper county in their session Tuesday afternoon let the -contract for seven stone roads as folk ws: Frank L. Hoover road, <*ne three-fifths’mifes long, estimated cost $7,009. Lowest bid Harry E. Gifford, $6,700. Other bids, F. A. Camblin $7,009.21, George Stalbaum $7,432, Johnson & Salrin $6,948, W. V. Porter $6,876, and Evans & Vanatta $6,889 Henry Amsler road, 2 miles long, estimated cost $8,452.56. Lowest bid, Oris Salrin, $7,753.38. Other bids, Harry Gifford $8,200, George Stalbaum $8,380, and Evans & Vanatta -SB,OIO. Fred Tyler road, 3 miles long, estimated cost $10,327. Lowest bid, George Stalbaum $8,740. Other bids, F. A. Camblin $10,198, Harry E. Gifford $9,994, Johnson & Salrin $9,968, and Evans & Vanatta $9,921. Granville Moody road, 1 mile long, estimated cost $4,451.80. Lowest bid, Harry E. Gifford, $4,200. The lowest bidder was in each of the above cases let" the contract for the several roads except in the Tyler road. Mr. Stalbaum had made an error in his bid and the next lowest bidder, Evans & Vanatta, was awarded the contarct for that road at $9,921.
