Probably few people could say who wrote “Mother Hubbard” and fewer still know where the writer is buried. The author was Sarah Catherine MarAta and she was-buried at Loughton, in horn in January. 1768,.and was about ' thirty-severr years old when she wrote the story of the old lady and her dog.
