Had Remembered.

Gerald was invited with his parents to spend the day with a family of four adults. JVo children had been members of this nfome for.many years, and Gerald’s mamma admonished him to be perfectly behaved, as she wished him to ifeave a good impression. The father also had some side talk with Gerald! that mamma did not hear. Arrived at the home of the friends, Gerald was,a tnodel of decorum. The women noticed him and praised him profusely. They remarked upon his courtly manners, upon which he puffed but his chest, drew a long.breath, and said: *Well, if X can just stick It out now till I gang et home I guess I’ll get that nickel dad promised me, all right.”
