Shank to Head Fall Independent Ticket —Woman One Entrant.

Indianapolis, March B—Lew Shank, defeated by Charles Jewett for the republican nomination for mayor in tihe prjmary election here Tuesday, will head a fulb independent city ticket, with a woman candidate for one of the minor offices, at the next city election, according to an announcement tonight by Shank’s political managers. Shank, who was defeated by 777 vote§, announced that he had abandoned plans to contest the nomination of Jewett.
