He had followed the operations of the war with the most careful attention, and his only ambition for the last year, says the Mutual Star, had been to live long enough to see Great | Britain and its allies successful, for lie had lived un,der six sovereigns and had watched with interest the expansion of the empire: —— More than 80 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive him.
