William Holmes who has been confined to his home in the east part of town for the past seven weeks, was able to be uptown today. Eugene Kirk and wife of Barkley, township left today for Reddick, 111., which was formerly their home. They will visit relatives and friends there for a short time. He had purchased a car-load of stock cattle in Chicago and had them shipped to Parr and will them driving over to his farm. He is getting along nicely clearing up the farm he recently bought in Kankakee town ship. He has had 80,000 feet of good lumber sawed out and is now having ties and mine props made.
