Uncle Charley Russell, the demon wolf hunter of Jasper county added another wolf pelf to his collection, late Saturday evening. Forty eight years ago Mr. Russell killed his first wolf and since that time he has killed 70 mord, all but two or three of which have been killed in Jasper. ‘Desspite his advancing age, Mr. Russell is still the same wonderflfl shot, which he has always been, and one shot was all that was necessary to settle the animal. Mrs. Russell first noticed the animal going east past Mr. Russell’s grain office, at a fast pace. She scared the animal and it turned back into the range of Mr. Russell’s trusty riffie. At the time it was killed, the wolf was one hundred and sixtydive yards from Jasper county’s famous hunter, , ' Mr. Russell drove to town with the animal today to collect the bounty on it, which is $5, and also to have it skinned. The animal is one of the very largest that the owner has ever killed in his career, and is grey in color.
