Jim Thorpe Sees no Reason Why He Should Give Up His Vocation in Sporting World. ’ Jins Thorpe declares ife has no idea of retiring from sports. The famous Indian says: “Sports means a living to me, and there is no reason why I should give up my vocation. I cannot say whether or not I will play football next year, but if I do not, I will coach football.
