One cupful shortening, one cupful sugar, one cupful molasses, two cupfuls rolled oats (uncooked), two eggs, one teaspoonful soda (roundihg). spice -to taste. Flour. to make Stiff hatter, so as "to spread with knife. Prop by spoonful on pan and pat put with knife and bake. Do not place too near together. : ' ....
