Cornmeal Griddle Cakes.
Mix one cupful cornmeal, one-half eupfu\ flour., one-qtmrter teaspoonftil salt, two teaspoonfuls molasses, oneĀ» rounded teaspoonful baking powder and enough milk and water' (mixed) to make a thin batter. Fry on a hot griddle and serve with maple sirup:
