Shibusawa Quits Bank Post to Boost Friendship Between U. S, and Empire. Los Angeles, Cal.—A declaration, that he had retired from the presidency of the First Bank .of Japan for the purpose of promoting “better friendly feelings between America and Japan,” was made by E.
