May Have Baseball League Coining Season.
4 According to the Brook Reporter, there, is talk of forming an eightclub baseball leagqy the coming season among the towns of this vicinity. The success of baseball' in: neighboring towns was remarkable. The towns which are proposed to make up theleague are: Rensselaer, Brook, Goodland, Kentland, Fowler, Boswell, Sheldon and Oxford. " , The proposition is that each club put up fifty dollars, twefjty-five dollars from each club going to the pennant winner, and the other twentyfive to be made a penalty for dropping oht. before the season is over. Brook is ready to take up this proposition and is ready to take up the matter with the other towns.- —— ~ The success of such a league if ■started is assured. The towns are in close proximity and the expense of travel would not be very heavy. Another commendable feature of sftch an organization would be the fact that games for each Sunday would be assured, and no town would haveito be without a game on account of a team failing to appear.
