The success of baseball' in: neighboring towns was remarkable. The towns which are proposed to make up theleague are: Rensselaer, Brook, Goodland, Kentland, Fowler, Boswell, Sheldon and Oxford. " , The proposition is that each club put up fifty dollars, twefjty-five dollars from each club going to the pennant winner, and the other twentyfive to be made a penalty for dropping oht. before the season is over. The towns are in close proximity and the expense of travel would not be very heavy.
