It is very difficult to keep cider sweet for any length of time without the tfse of preservatives and special i treatment. Preservatives are not per* 5 mitted under the federal and state ’ pure-food laws. Sweet elder may be filtered, boiled and bottled In a man- . ner similar To that used when can- - nfhg fruits, then it will remain sweet; * that is, no fermentation will tafcj|g| place for several weeks.
