Chas; Steward was hefre looking after school affairs this week?-,.., Roy Gundy and wife, of Gary, and Mike Gundy were here visiting relatives during the holidays. Dave Overton cut his foot quite seriously this week while in the woods. Dick Nelson, of Brookston, brother of Mrs. Cottingham, was here over Sunday on account of the serious, ill- . ness of Mi. Cottingham: \ Ray Haste, formerly of this place but, now living in Buchanan, Mich., had the misfortune to get a-pretty bad cut in the face while at the mill. Herbert Bozelle has returned from a visit with his parents at Edinberg. - Orville Bringle and wife, of Remington, visited A. M.. Bringle’s over Sunday and New Year’s. Florence McKay, Mary Abell and Alice Moon returned Monday to their respective schools. The Barker and Window families spent Now Year’s at Shelby with Oliver Brouhard and family, Milt Gundy has a force of men at the pond cutitng and hauling ice. Our teachers all visited home folks during the holidays. Wm. Gundy, who went to the Mexican border last summer with the National Guard, is here this week. N. A. McKay went to Kirklin the last of the week to visit his mother, who is r in very poor health. Frank Goff, Jr., is said to be the latest purchaser of a Ford, Mrs. Chas. Halleck and' daughter, May, visited relatives in DeMotte during the holidays.
