Obituary of Mrs. Chris Morganegg.

Mary Ann, second child of John and Mary Gurtner, was born near Berne, Switzerland. Dec. 31st, 1861, and departed this life Dec. 26, 1916, aged 54 years, 11 mbnths and 26 days. She was married to Chris Morganegg Feb v 5, 1880. To this union were horn seven children: Chris, Jr., of Batavia, Ill.; Mrs. Lester Schreiner, of near Rensselaer; Mrs'. Burlie Harrod, of Colorado City, Colo.; Kathryn, Eva and Anna. One son, William, preceded her in' the year 1902. # She came with her husband to America in 1884, living one year at Wabash, Ind., after which they came, to Jasper county, where she spent the rest of her life. She joined the Ger-man-Lutheron church when quite young and always lived a Christian life. She bore her suffering patiently, was a faithful wife, lovingmother and kind neighbor," always striying to do her best for everyone. She leaves to mourn they loss besides her husband, six children, twelve grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. . L .
