First Session of the Sacred Services Held.

As a fitting beginning of the new year, the four Protestant churches are holding a series of sacred meetings this week. The first meeting was held last night in the Presbyterian church and Dr. Strecker, of the Methodist church, delivered a splendid sermon on the subject of “World Religion.” This sermon was full of •" inspiration and should have been heard by every Christian in Rensselaer. Tonight Rey. Asa McDaniel of the Christian church, will have as his theme “National Religion.” The session will be held at the Baptist church and will begin at 7:30 p. m. You will enjoy these meetings if you will attend them.
