ENTIRE CITY ASKED TO GREET SOLDIERS
Committee Asks That Entire City Turn Out to Greet Soldiers On Their Arrival Here. * At a meeting of the committee on the reception of the Rensselaer soldiers when they arrive in this city some time the latter part of the week, last night, it was decided to ask the entire populace of Rensselaer to turn out to tender them a-welcome. This course was decided upon by the committee owing to the indefiniteness of the arrival of the troops from Indianapolis. Owing to the lateness of the trains of the past few days and .the lateness occasioned in mustering out Company M, the committee was handicapped in making plans for a fitting celebration. A wire will be received from one of the officers of the company telling when they will arrive in the city. The city band will be called out when word of their leaving Indianapolis is received and a parade formed, in which everyone is asked tenjoin and which will proceed to the depot and meet the troops. Flans for a banquet later on are being made.
