The Monnett School Building Campaign.
The Monnett School, assisted by a large number of the young ladies of Rensselaer, Ind., will hold a Tag Day for the Monnett School Saturday, Dec. 23rd. , * No greater Christmas gift could be made this year than one for this school. Only a few years old, yet today applications are coming from all parts of the country for. admission, hut they cannot be accepted, for the school is crowded to the limit. Thursday, Dec. 21st, will be the shortest day of the year. The sun will rise at 7:21 in the morning and seTat 4:36 in the afternoon. At that time the sun will have reached its farthest point in its southward course from the equator. There will be no perceptible change in the length of days and nights for several days after the 21st, then will begin a gradual lengthening or days and a shortening of nights which will go on continuously until the 21st of March, when the sun will have reached a' position directly over the equator, when day and night will be of equal length.
