COULD NOT UNLOCK HANDCUFFS

Policeman’s Rusty Bracelets Defied Everything but a File. Akron, O. —The rasping sound of a file cutting through metal sounded in the office of the county jail at 2 o’clock in the morning. Sheriff Co rey, returning from a summons, pans ed outside his office door. The sounds continued. The Sheriff prepared for action. Quietly he opened the door. Before him sat Peter Bey, Indian policeman of Silver Lake Park. On the floor in front of Peter were two "drunks” locked together with a rusty pair of handcuffs. Bey .arrested the two men at Silver Lake Park, put the rusty handcuffs on them and couldn’t get them off when hs got to jalL i ,
