Howard Budge, a Monoi brakeman, was killed instantly late Sunday night at the Monon yards in Lafayette, when a switch engine crashed into a box car on which Budge was handing, and hurled that car against a steel coal car on the next track, pinning the unfortunate man between the two cars. 4 He was given no chance to es'cape and the two cars caught and crushed him. .
