$20,000 Damage Suit Against the Monon.
A $20,000 damage suit was put on for trial Monday in the Lake county superior court. The Monon railway is the deefndant and Myron F. Wallace, a traveling salesman, the plaintiff. The latter alleges he was struck and injured by -a heavy missile that was hurled from one of the company engines as he was standing on the station platform’ at Lowell while waiting for a train. Judge Harry L. Crumpackor is hearing the case. W. J. McAleer, of Hammond, is the principal attorney for the plaintiff, while McCord & Hume, of Chicago, Monon lawyers, with Judge Edgar D. Crumpacker, of Valparaiso, and W. W. Pepple, of Michigan City, are appearing for the railroad.
