FIRE PREVENTION DAY.
It has been recommended by the Governor of the State of Indiana, that on one day to bet set apart for that purpose that all property owners and tenants see that their premises are safeguarded from presence of all hazardous conditions; that the attention of the .public schools and civic organizations of Indiana be called to the importance of this subject; and that the Mayors of Indiana cities join by proclamation in setting apart October the 9th as Centennial Fire Prevention Day, in order that the state may receive the greatest possible benefit from the ,wide dissemination of this doctrine of fire prevention!. A PROCLAMATION. Now, Therefore, I, Charles G. Spit ler, as Mayor of the City of Rensselaer, do hereby designate Monday, the Ninth Day of October, 1916, as Centennial Fire Prevention Day.
