Mrs. A. Hamilton Rice, the former Mrs. George D. Widener of Philadelphia, will accompany her husband. Dr. Rice, into the upper reaches of the Amazon and the Orinoco. The former Mrs. George D. Widener was widowed by the Titanic disaster. She is one of society's most famous matrons and will give up the gayety and luxury of Newport to be at her husband’s side in the journey through a land swarming with poisonous insects and noted for many varieties of fevers.
