Martial Law Declared in Mexico After Villa Attack on Chihuahua.
Martial law has been declared throughout Mexico and forces of government soldiers have been detailed to bring order but of chaos created by Villa’s hindalgo day attack upon the capital. Several hundred bodies of men and animals have been removed from the streets and buried outside the city. Buildings which suffered from gunfire are being dynamited. Scores of ‘workmen are engaged in restoring, the city’s telephone and telegraphic communication. Prisoners taken in the engagement have been executed. Numbers of residents have been arrestd for aiding the Villistas by sniping from the windows.
