TAGGART DENOUNCES “GRAFT” SUPPORTED BY KERN AND ADAIR

Senator Assumes Role of Prophet But His Record In That Line Is One of Failure. Since Tom Taggart made the ■peeqh in the senate - denouncing a measure which he said was honeycombed with $20,000,000 graft and which, by the way was supported by Kern and Adair, the Democratic candidate for governor, and other Democratic congressmen from Indiana, he has given out an interview saying* that Indiana is rosy for Wilson. He said the Progressives "are coming out for Wtlson in large numbers." If Tom would name eight or ten men who were in any way prominent in the Progressive party movement in 1912 or J 914 who "ar® coming to ■Wilson,” he would thereby strengthen .his statement. To put the case in another way, we wonder if Tom would agree to name one Progressive who is “coming to Wilson” for each Democrat who is leaving him.
