Far better than either the felt of quilted silence cloth is the one of asbestos. This cloth protects the table top, not only from the «pots made by hot dishes, but also from stains anti damage done by hot liquids being spilled. The cloth is waterproof as well as heat proof. It is, of course, lintless and is finished with a neat binding. It is made in halves, each consisting of three strongly bound and hinged sections.
