W. L. Wood Attended Fairbanks Notification Thursday.

Representative W. L. Wood, of Parr, attended the Fairbanks notification ceremonies held at the Fairbanks home in Indianapolis Thursday. It is estimated that 1,600 attended the ceremonies of thq day. The ceremonies were witnessed by men and women from Indiana and other states, the honored guests being National Chairman Wilcox, of New York; Ralph D. Cole, of Ohio, chairman of the national speakers’ bureau; A. T. Hert, of Louisville; A. O. Eberhardt, former governor of Minnesota, and Senator Lawrence Y. Sherman,, of Illinois. Senator Sherman delivered the notification address. He flayed the democratic party for its conduct of public affairs. National Chairman Wilcox told the leaders that if the election were to take place today there would be no doubt about the result and added that many changes can take place between now and the election date. Work hard and say nothing was the advice of Wilcox. Former Governor Eberhardt told the committeemen that Minnesota looks to Indiana and New York as important states in the present campaign and Senator Sherman and Mr. Cole spoke briefly to party workers. The visitors were entertained at the Severin hotel and tlte Columbia CluD, and Mr. Wood reports that a splendid time was had by all.
