Rensselaer Foresters Make Double Killinfi Sunday.

Fortune smiled on the Foresters and favored them with a -double victory on the college grounds last Sunday, ug. 27. They first met the strong nine from Wheatfield and snatched the bacon from them by the score of 3to 2. Feldhaus was in old form and controlled wonderfully from the slab for the Foresters, while Eigelsbachy and Thomas starred in giving him loyal support. Jerry Malony twirled for the Wheatfielders but was somewhat wild. He worked hard to win his own game, bringing in the only two runs scored in their favor. The game was close from beginning to end and although somewhat slow, nevertheless intensely interesting, owing greatly, no doubt, to the timely jokes of Mr. Lane when the ball was not in motion, Wheatfield 2, Foresters Hits: j Wheatfield 2, Foresters 2. The Foresters had chosen a lucky star for their guide and wbuld know noth' ing of defeat. Staunch determination facilitated it for them to find the “kink” in Luley’s arm already an the first inning; nor would they be satisfied until four men ..ad crossed the plate safely. The home team, however, were not slow in pursuit. By the end of the fifth the score read 4-3. Brunswick had relieved Luley m the third and chances for more, on the part of the Foresters looked slim. In the sixth, however, they managed to force another man across the pan and only then did they begin to feel safe. In the 7th the college boys added one run, faising their total to 4 and thus leaving the honors to the Foresters by the score of 5 to 4. Johnson performed splendidly for the visitors and proved himself by no means a beginning. , Foresters 5, St. Xavier’s 4; 7 mts each. Three base hit, Brunswick.
