Walter Johnson’s right to the title of king of pitchers has been confirmed, and by a vote of the batters who awarded him the palm, casting fifty-two votes in his favor as against fifty-one for Grover Alexander. The balloting started during the off-season and has just been completed, each hitter picking the six best pitchers he ever faced. The total number of batsmen voting from both leagues was 114.
