Verdict Returned In Death of William Decatur Lyon.

The officials who have been investigating the death of William Decatur Lyon, who was found drowned in the Kankakee river last week, returned a verdict this afternoon in Rensselaer. Justice Greve was present, and the following verdict was returned: The cause of the death of the said Decatur Lyon was drowning, and the court is of the further opinion tjfiat there was some act of violence inflicted upon the said person of Wiliam Decatur Lyon, prior to the drowning, but we are unable to ascertain what agency inflicted such acts of violence. i
