Pineapple Sauce.
Cut the fruit in one half inch slices, or thicker if the fruit is very tender Make a syrup of one cup of sugar and one half cup of water and after it is boiled stir into it sufficient grated or shredded cocoanut to make the syrup thick enough so it will not run. Serve a spoonful on each slice of pineapple. This cocoanut sauce is also served or pie in the cuban cases.
