Dr. Besser left Wednesday for, a week’sivisit with his parents in lowa. Mrs. oJe Graham, who has been seriously ill the past week, is somewhat improved. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Peck left on Thursday for a two weeks’ visit with his sister, Mrs. Mar Priee and family at Middletown, Ky. Miss Ruth Wdrden returned home Wednesday morning from Chicago, where she had been with her sister, Mary, who was operated on for, appendicitis Sunday. She reports har as resting somewhat easier. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Ford to their home at Newport, Ky.» Wednesday evening after a two weeks’ visit with relatives here. The following officers were installed at the Rebekah lodge Wednesday evening: N. Opal Brooks; L. S. V. G., Grace Watson; I. G., Sophia Cummons; O. G., Sarah Dickinson. Misses Christina and Nellie Foster went to Chicago Thursday to visit a few days with their brother, Leonard. The class of ’l4 held a class reunion at the home of Miss Leila Lilves Monday evening. A jolly time is reported. Mrs. Joe Zigler and daughter, Mrs. John Stoll, came home Wednesday from a week’s visit with relatives in Illinois. Miss Minnie Alter, of Lafayette, came Sunday to visit her father, Lewis Alter and family. Born, to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wagner, July 6, a daughter. Bom, to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wyncoff, of south of town, July 9, a daughter. Mrs. J. C. Donahue, of Logansport, came Sunday evening for a visit w#h her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Donahue. Miss Margaret DuCharme returned home Sunday from a visit with friends at Earl Park. Mrs. Pearl Jones Green, of New York city, came Sunday evening for an extended visit with her father, Dexter Jones and family. The Jolly Club meets with Miss Mabel Burling Friday afternoon.
