Evers' Old Glove.

Johnny Evers has a baseball glove that he has used for nine seasons, with a few world’s championship series thrown in. It is a ragged old glove, with a big hole in it, but it is to that old glove that Evers ascribes many of his best plays. When the ball lands in it it stays there. Consequently it is small wonder that Evers sticks to his old glove.
