To All Officers of the General Recruiting Service: The Act of Congress approved June 3, 1916, “The National Defense Act,” as construed by this Department, renders unnecessary the parental consent to enlistment of persons between the ages of 18 and 21 years, and authorizes the enlistment of any person under 18 years of age who is able to meet the requirements and has the consent of his parents or guardians. “I will cheerfully say that Chamberlain's Tablets are the most satisfactory remedy for stomach troubles and constipation that I have sold in thirty-four years’ drug store service,” writes S.
