WOUNDED IN MEXICO

Corporal Richard Tannous of Thirteenth cavalry who was wounded in the fight at Parral. Corporal Tannous with a squad of men was passing unobtrusively through Parral when a volley of shots fired by Mexicans whizzed past them. They quickened their pace but the Mexicans fired at them until they came in sight of the main division. Corporal Tannous was shot through the arm.
