Benbow and children, of Winamac, came today to visit Mrs. Benbow’s sister, Mrs. Dean and family- ’ Chas. R. Peregrine, administrator of the estate of Samuel W. Maquire deceased, vs. Alfred H. Maguire et al, is set for trial today. Mrs. William Whited and two children, of Newland, returned yesterday from Lafayette, where she visited her sister, Mrs. Ella Camp. Miss Nell Meyers returned last evening from Madison, Wis., where she graduated from college this year. She was accompanied by her mother. Mrs. Donald Short and baby, of Monticello, who came to visit her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Witham, returned to her home yesterday. The militia company were guests of Horton brothers at the Gayety Airdome Wednesday evening at the performance given by the Great Graves and his company. Mrs. Bessie Hayden, district deputy for the Royal Neighbors, returned to her home in Lowell yesterday after attending the camps in Goodland and Remington. Donald and Thomas Hollingsworth, sons of Mr. and Mrs. George K. Hollingsworth, formerly of this city, are members of the first cavalry in Chicago and were ordered to Springfield the first of the week. Winamac, like Rensselaer, now has a woman in the editoi ial chair. Editor Foster W. Reddick, of the Winamac Republican, is a member of the national guard, as is also his foreman of the job department and the management of the paper has been left in charge of Mrs. Reddick. The White county centennial committee in co-operation with the school authorities, has arranged' with Miss Avaline Kindig to give the children of the first four grades training in oldtime dances and folk games in preparation for the part the school children will take-in centennial celebration in October.—Monticello Journal.
