Methodist Church.

Two large congregations were present at the Methodist church Sunday. At the morning service the Sunday school had its annual Children’s Day program. A number of the children sang and gave recitations. Dr. Curnick spoke upon the subject of “College Education,” and urged all the young people to go to college and said the Methodist church board of education would help them financially. Rev. J. T. Abbett, of Eugene, Oreg., preached in the evening to a large coqgregatioh. Many present were old friends who were delighted to have an opportunity of hearing him preach. Rev. Abbett is now a district superintendent of the Methodist church in Oregon and has had a very -usefui’ancT successful ministry since leaving Rensselaer.
