HOOSIERS GATHER TO HELP FAIRBANKS
Fairbanks Boosters Move On to Chicago Via Special Trains From. Evansville and Indianapolis.
Indianapolis, June 4.—lndiana republilans, several hundred Strong, will move on Chicago tomorrow with banners flying. “Boost Fairbanks, knock nobody,” will be the slogan of the Hoosier invaders. v Two special trains, one starting at Evansville and the other from Indianaipolis, will take at least 800 republicans to Chicago tomorrow. More than 400 of these will go on the Indianapolis special. Others going to Chicago later this week are expected to increase the Indianapolis contingent to at least 700. Something like 1,500 are expected to go Wednesday from Lake county and other northern Indjana counties. A large number of motoring parties will go from various points in Indiana before the end of the week. The Indianapolis ,and* Evansville delegations will be united on reaching Chicago. Wednesday night it is expected that no less than 4,000 Fairbanks boosters of Indiana and a dozen other states will be in a parade. Mr. Fairbanks will remain in Indianapolis and go about his affairs, much the same as he usually does, dividing his time between his home and down town office. No special arrangements have heen made for giving Mr. Fairbanks news from the convention. He will depend on the newspaper dispatches and on reports sent to him iby his friends in Chicago.
