RACK FOR THE NEWSPAPERS

Useful Article in Any Household Can Be Put Together In a Few Minutes' Time. A rack for holding newspapers and magazines is a thing that is required in every household,- and we give a sketch of a simple and practical rack that anyone with a box of tools can make in a very short time. It should be constructed about 2 feet 3 Inches in height and 2 feet in width, and be made of wood about %-lnch in thickness and 12 inches in width. It is compose’d of two pieces of the shape shown on the right of the illustration and two plain pieces of wood cut to fit into the upper part of these boards. The whole thing is

fastened together with screws run through the upper boards and into the upper edges of the side pieces. Well-planed wood should be used, and when complete it can be stained & nice dark green and afterward well varnished.. —iIt can, of course, be made in a larger or smaller size than that mentioned if preferred, and if desired, in place of staining, it can be painted soma other color selected possibly to harmonize with the other colors that there may be in the room in which it is to find a place.
