Joseph Maibaugh, who has the contract for the upper end of the Boyle ditch, was here yesterday. He has let the contract for the Moffitt lateral to the Rensselaer Dredging Co., who will begin its construction in about two weeks, when they will have oompelted the Dexter ditch. The lateral they will build has an estimated yardage of 77,000. Mrs. Fred Mell, of Chicago, came this morning to see her little Stepdaughter, Emily Mell, who is attendmg Monnett School for Girls. Mrs. Mell spoke with appreciation of the school, which she said had been selected for the girl after considerable study. The influences and education at the school meet every need and there is a wide field for the training received there and consequently an opportunity for the rapid development of the school.
